How To Take Great Mortgage Photos

Wondering how to take great mortgage photos? The position of the sun at the time you take your photograph can make the difference between get a good photo or a bad one. As a general rule, never take a mortgage photo at noon when the sun is directly overhead.  There are two “hot times” to take your mortgage photo:

 

1.) When the sun is striking the front of the house, so you can capture the best natural light.

2.) When the sun is behind the house, creating a natural “glow” around the house.

 

See below for a general guide on when the best time to take a mortgage photo with the sun striking the front of the house:

Houses That Face South

Photograph between 9:00 am – 11:00 am or 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Houses That Face North

Photograph between 8:00 am – 10:30 am or 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm

Houses That Face East

Photograph only between 7:30 am – 11:30 am

Houses That Face South

Photograph only between 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm
